IntegriChain hires former Intelerad growth chief Chris Hare as CRO

The Nordic Capital-backed pharma commercialisation software company has a new Chief Revenue Officer who started his career selling drugs. It is the latest example of life science software firms valuing buyer-side experience in their top commercial seat.

IntegriChain has appointed Chris Hare as Chief Revenue Officer, announced on 27 October 2026. He will lead the company's commercial strategy as it marks its 20th anniversary and plans for growth in 2027.

Who is IntegriChain

Philadelphia-based IntegriChain sells revenue optimisation technology and consulting to pharmaceutical manufacturers. Its ICyte platform combines software, data, consulting and managed services across the commercialisation lifecycle, aimed at improving patient access and net revenue. The company is backed by private equity firm Nordic Capital and has an office in Pune, India.

It sits on the commercial side of life science software rather than in the lab, but the buyers are the same biopharma companies that R&D software vendors sell to.

Who is Chris Hare

Hare brings more than 20 years of experience building revenue teams in healthcare and healthcare SaaS. Most recently he was Chief Growth and Revenue Officer at Intelerad, where the company says his global commercial team delivered double-digit annual growth. BioBuzz notes that GE HealthCare acquired Intelerad in April 2026 for $2.3 billion.

Before that he held commercial leadership roles at private equity-backed health tech companies, including leading sales for a specialty SaaS portfolio at Net Health. He started out as a sales representative at Salix Pharmaceuticals and moved into commercial leadership there. The release also credits him with building revenue operations teams and leading diligence and integration on several acquisitions.

IntegriChain CEO Josh Halpern pointed to that pharma background directly.

The pattern

Two things stand out. First, this is a PE-backed company hiring a CRO who has just been through a large exit, which tends to signal that investors want a scalable, repeatable revenue engine. Second, the emphasis on Hare having sold to pharma himself reflects a wider preference in this market for commercial leaders who understand the buyer from the inside.

In last week's issue we covered Veeva bringing sales, consulting and services under one executive. Different company, same theme: life science software firms are reorganising their revenue functions around how pharma actually buys.

What it means for hiring

  • New CROs at PE-backed software firms often reshape the team beneath them within their first year. We'd expect movement in VP Sales, revenue operations and account leadership roles at IntegriChain and peers.
  • Pharma sales experience plus SaaS scale-up experience is a combination boards keep asking for at CRO level. It is a narrow pool, and it is getting more expensive.
  • Revenue operations is becoming a CRO-level competence rather than a back-office function. Strong RevOps leaders with healthcare SaaS backgrounds should be in demand.
